Overdone or Just Right?

A new week is starting and I think we have reached the peak of PTA "busyness". Its a down hill stroll from here but there are so many pitstops to the finish line I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. I'm a stickler for professionalism, being prepared, pleasing people, and not having to do everything last minute.

So why do I feel like I'm doing everything last minute? This week is the Cinco De Mayo Celebration and my lists are made (the shoppings not done but thats the EASY part!)...... as for the talent show the same night! Where did all the talent go? Did they move out of Dville like I so badly want to????? One more day of auditions and I'm free and clear on that one.

Wednesday is Joshua's Field Day and although I'll be there all day my involvement and need for preparation is slim to none. The ribbons are all filled out and have been delivered and the water bottles are stacked and ready to be filled.

Next week is City Field Day but short of sorting shirts thats a walk in the park. However, mixed in with that day of sweat, sunburns and tears is Teacher Appreciation Week. While I love the teachers at my school I'm struggling with this one. There are a handful of ungratefuls who complain and beg for so much all the time and its really getting old. Do you think they'd take my title away if I "accidentaly" forgot to leave their gifts in their box this year? If someone did 1/100th of what we've done this year I'd be grateful!!!!!!

The week after that is the Chocolate Bar Party and then come end of the year parties and awards. WHEW! We made it! I'm still alive and the year is over! One more year down. One more school year behind us and then all of the sudden it strikes me. Holy Cow Joshua's in middle school and Noah has one more year before TAKS, Caitlyn is in PreK and I'm left home half a day with Madi. Just me and Madi ALONE! How did this happen?

Is that sweet bliss? Or should I stock up on Prozac and Kleenex before August?

Love your new blog! The picture is adorable! I think a combo of Kleenex, prozac, and Madi/mommy dates will do you just fine for next year!
