Daily Prayer

My father was inspired one day as he was logging his daily miles (crazy man!)....we are having a theme each month at church and he started January with Prayer. The goal is to pray atleast 3 times a day.

I pray a lot throughout my day (for the food, when I'm loosing my temper with the kids, when I hear someone is sick, or I don't know how we will pay the electric bill) but with a focus on Prayer I decided to really devote my effort to making my prayer fervent this month. I also struggle with my mind wandering during prayer... I'll pray for this person and then think about how I haven't called them in awhile or what we did last time we were together......

So here I am pouring my heart into it this month. I set myself small goals and totally focus my thoughts into praising and glorifying and also begging for answers...

WOW!

1. I have never been more in love with my husband. Its the same gushy crazy love as when we were teenagers. Its the head over heals I can't wait until I see him love. The passionate WOW newlywed love!!!
2. Vincent's work is being so incredibly blessed! He is crazy busy and the money is actually coming in! I landed an awesome temp job that I'm really enjoying.
3. I feel myself smiling more and complaining less.
4. My children are happier and things just seem to get done even though I can't figure out how!
5. I see the beauty of His creation in everything around me and I just can't stop marveling in His Majesty, Perfectness, and Grace.

My Bible study this morning "just so happened to be" in Proverbs. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, lean not into thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths."

I pray His blessings and His AWESOMENESS will be evident in your life today!

I leave you with two little miracles I am so blessed with. Laurie took their 6yr and 9yr pictures last weekend.

That is one of my favorite scriptures. I too am very thankful for the power of prayer in my life.

I love the pictures, and I too need to dedicate more time to my prayers. I can usually manage in the morning and evening, but taking the time to do it other than meals and stuff during the day is a challenge that I need to work on.
