Prayer and Assignments

My friends closest to me know I've been going through a rough patch. Depression over money woes, unexpected events, the struggles of day to day life, developments in my marriage, and even my faith and walk with God.
Let me explain that one as there hasn't been a lack of faith....I believe but I've been guarding those beliefs. Trusting God to take my burden but picking it up on my own again two seconds later.......which in some ways could be interpreted as NOT having faith. (Thats a whole other sermon) LOL! Anyone else ever do that?

Thursday night after a series of Unfortunate Events..... a friend blessed me in a way that is just unimaginable. I've been walking around in the awe of it and then now....

I want to share with you what happened to me yesterday ~ and I hope that in turn you will comment and leave a blessing you yourself have received. I just really need a time of Thanksgiving and Glory in revelling in the majesty, power, and WOW of God and how he answers those prayers.

Yesterday morning after an emotional song service where the praise and worship chorus' really touched my heart..... the sermon followed suit and touched me in such a personal way. Seeing as how the pastor is my father its doubly tempting to think the sermon was written just for me (but I know it was written weeks ago before vacation....) its just Step 1 in God's amazing day planned just for me.

Step 2 was following the Holy Spirits lead as my husband felt the same alter call and we went forward to pray. We once again laid down our burdens at the feet of our Savior and pleaded for his guidance in every aspect of our lives. Determined to NOT pick them up again we continued to talk about this on the way home from church, and as we made lunch for our kids.

Approx 15min after we finished eating lunch I got a phone call and what ensued over the following 2 hours was my modern day miracle. I won't go into any of those details to protect the privacy of the people and situation involved but let me say...

WOW! God is so good! We already knew that, but to have such instant reconfirmation of his control and power was just WOW for me!!! He truly blessed us beyond measure and poured out His love and grace on our family. I could list multitudes of times when I've seen his hand at work and when his power and love has amazed me.

Can you share just one time in your life when you've been WOW'D? Today I just want to marvel in his Greatness!

XOXO
