First off let me say, I am NOT old enough to have a 12 year old!
Josh,
I can't believe how time has flown. I remember the day I found out I was pregnant with you, my first doctors visit, the sonogram where you squeezed your legs shut tight and the moment you were born and the doctor said you were a boy.
I remember your precious chubby hands clapping "YAY" for the youth group practicing their songs.... I missed your first step but I chased you around as you learn to run.
I loved the way you said "Cow-boys" and "memon nade"
Your first day of Pre school and how independent you were.
The first time you went down grandma's slide and swam across the water alone.
The day you asked to accept Jesus into your heart and then when you were baptised.
Your first HIT in baseball followed by your first homerun and catch.
Your first roller coaster and the tears before it....but smiles afterward.
Your first piano recital and the nervousness you had.
Okay, I'll stop with the reminising and move on to the great kid you are.....
You are stubborn, quick to anger, and you pout alot....(you get that from me! sorry) but you are a sweet boy. You love your sisters, brother, and cousins and you are SUCH a big help. I trust you and have confidence in you to make the right choices for your life.
Now that you are making choices on your own and noticing girls I worry about you more than ever before. But when you were a tiny baby your dad and I gave you to Jesus. We know he has a purpose and plan for your life and that if you trust Him he will guide all your decisions.
I love you my precious baby boy. Happy 12th (gulp) birthday!

Happy Birthday my sweet Joshua. You are a precious little boy. I've loved all twelve years watching you grow into the fine little man that you are becoming. I'm glad that you are noticing GIRLS, but, don't get too serious about any of them for a LONG time yet. Enjoy your childhood for as long as you can get away with it. LOL Being all grown up comes with a lot of responsibilities.
