My Madilyn

I'm having so much fun with Madilyn. Its been a very long time since I've had a lot of one on one with any of the kids. Noah and Caitlyn definetly got shorted! Josh was home when Noah was little and I was working and then along came Caitlyn. She and Noah got to share me then when Josh was in school and when I finally quit work Noah was in PreK and I was pregnant with Madilyn.

She's a spitfire, full of attitude, opinions and to sum it up a little mini-me! I spend more time laughing at her antics than disciplining her for them. That scares the tar out of me! Anyway, I thought I'd take a minute and just write what I've noticed and cherished about her most lately.

1. She wakes up every morning with a scowl because Caity snuck out of bed (to get ready for school) without her.
2. She is extremely independent...dressing herself, accesorizing, and trying to tie her shoes.
3. She is a wiz on the computer. I love listening to sing along with the songs on pbskids and nickjr. I love it that she comes to me and askes for disney.org or pbskids.com. That cracks me up!
4. Everything is "in 4days can I go to Grannie's"....."in 2 days can I play with Gabi" Probably because mommy procrastinates on doing Madi things! Shame on me!
5. She ALWAYS says thank you when I least expect it. And it absolutely melts my heart and makes me want to do more every time....
Thanks mom for washing my clothes for me.
Thanks mom for putting my cup in the cabinet.
Thanks mom for making my bath so I can play.
6. Also the smart mouth little things she says that actually make sense!
Mom, "I can't eat with my mouth shut I have to open it to put the food in.... "See"
7. She loves LOVES her daddy! Its a beautiful love, so accepting and deep.
8. She loves her dogs and they love her. She often reminds me of the old picture of the little girl at the beach where the dog is biting her diaper and she tries to walk away. I love hearing her gigle as they nip and tug at her and her toys.
9. She's smart and I love hearing her play make believe and teach her dolls rules and colors.
10. She's mine. Sweet, special, and sassy.

I'm so blessed.

Madilyn is a lucky little girl to have her Mommy home with her. I'm glad you are enjoying your special time with her. She is a doll.

Try to enjoy your time with each one of them; they are all so unique and amazing.

What a sweetheart! It must be wonderful to be home with her. She sounds just as outgoing and fun as her Mom.

She is a wonderful girl and all those things are her. She is the way she is because you value her and who she is and will one day become.

Hey, I took that pic of Madi at Noahs soccor game. That is so her. Madi is a spit fire example of her mamma, but just a sweet too. I love getting to spend time with her, well I love all your kids.
Your post made me laugh. Specially about her not being able to eat with her mouth closed. Definetly her mamas girl.
