Madilyn's First Day of School

I didn't go..... I thought I'd just rip the bandaid off and let her leave the nest. Sniff Sniff. But the friend that takes her and pickes her up 3 days a week promised to take pictures and she did a wonderful job!!!

Madilyn was soooooo excited! Here she is leaving the car and walking in on her own. She had her backpack loaded down with lunch box.

Walking down the hall to her classroom........ (Thats Brooklyn following along)

Checking out her classroom.

Posing for a photo op with her teacher.....

Dear Sweet Madilyn,
I can't believe you are so anxious to leave me! I'm happy your independent and sure of yourself and I'm thrilled you feel safe and secure and desire to learn. I love that any time we drive past your school you yell at all of us that its YOUR school and make sure we know what a big girl you are. I love that you are eager to tell me about your day and show me your papers.
I hope that this first school of many brings you joy and a fun start to your education. I love you and miss you so much when we are away from each other.

Shaunna, Good job on letting go.
It's a tough part of motherhood; especially when she is only three.

I'm glad that she loves it SO MUCH.

Love, Mom
