.......not the actual money. But the mommy lotto at least!
I just have to brag. My mommy-o-meter is over the top and I'm just bursting with pride.
Joshua was supposed to spend the night with a friend last night, but around 11 o'clock he came home. His friends parents rented a video game rated "M" for mature that we had specifically told him he could not under any circumstance play. Its a game with robots and guns, blood, guts, and gore....plus bad language.
Josh told his friend he couldn't play that game and went down stairs to watch a movie with the parents. The friend went ballistic yelling at him, calling him baby names, and complaining telling him he should just play the game we would never know.
But my little one stood his ground. He told his friend that he wasn't complaining that he choose to play it but that he was going to obey his parents rules. He could tell him when he was ready to do something else. By this time the parents heard what was going on....checked out the game....took it away from the kid......and brought Josh home because of the way the kid was acting.
He did cry when he got home. He said he didn't want to hurt the boys feelings and all that.... We just praised him and praised him for doing what was right and talked about how those decisions are just gonna get harder as he gets older.
One battle down ~ a bazillion to go.
