We had a wonderful time at the Fair on Monday. It was kind of a different experience for us than ever before. We love the car and truck show, the dog show, and the Food.....FOOd..... FOOD!
However, this year we went with a little less pocket change. I found out (where have I been) that you can take a cooler in ~ so we loaded up on sodas and made sandwiches and chips. We are saving for birthdays, Christmas, and a few wants so we decided to see just how "cheap" we could do the fair.
McDonalds has $3 off tickets so Vince and I got into the fair for $11 each. And Parking was $10. Add that up ~ YES a whopping $32.00 just to step foot on Fair Ground property. Then Vince decided to start us off with $40 worth of Tickets.

People I think we chunk down close to $200 when we go to the fair. There are 6 of us after all and did I mention we like the FOOD??????
Anyway, we started off with the trucks, watched a dog show, and made our way around the midway. The kids got to pick 2 rides a piece.......
And then we went into the car show. Where Caitlyn and Madilyn immediately were drawn to a convertible which they insist will be there's but in pink when they are older enough to drive...... (My thoughts......."Yes dear...if you want that EXACT car when your 16 (12yrs from now) ...YES, I'll buy it for you. )

Around 2 o'clock we made our way to the Chevy Main Stage to wait for the Jonas Bros Concert. WHAT an experience! It was insane! I swear 100,000 people crowded in to see the boys. The kids LOVED it!

Caitlyn's mad because we aren't on the front row.
Jumbo tron from which we viewed most of the concert!

INSANE crowd of people!

If you squint you can see the 3 Jonas Bros on stage.
What did we eat? 2 corny dogs (that we all shared)
Believe it or not as we left the fair at 4pm we had 6 tickets left and had the most fun of the day looking for a family we thought would truly appreciate them. The kids really thought it was neat that the mom we handed them to grabbed me for a hug and said, "God bless you!" Its an amazing feeling when you can bless someone with only $3.00!!!!!
All in all a wonderful family day. AND the scale looks the same as when I left this morning!
